The Red Boots That Empower Me

There's no doubt about it, I'm a boot fan. I love boots, can't get enough of them! So when I saw some red ankle boots on the rack in my favourite store, I just couldn't resist the temptation setting in.

As I'm getting older, I'm getting more into incorporating brighter colours into my outfits and I'm becoming increasingly daring with my choices. I'm not saying that going for these red boots is the most daring fashion statement that I've made, it's not a massive one, but I love how empowering they make me feel.

I found these red, heeled ankle boots in Primark in the sale for £6. I mean how could I resist these boots for just £6? My mind was made as soon as I tried them on in the store and had a little walk around in them. They're suede and have a heel that's just over an inch high plus they're super comfy! The shade of red is honestly perfect and I can't wait to start wearing them out in public more often.

I have a few things that these are going to go with in my wardrobe but no bag. To be honest, it's just another excuse to buy another bag. What can I say? I'm a sucker for bags. Because I'm a poor student with no job, I stuck to trust Primark to look for a bag.

I bought this little red studded shoulder bag for about £8. Unfortunately, I can't find it online, it must be from last season since when I went in the store the shelves were being re-stocked with new items. It is a really cute bag that's prefect to hold your purse, phone, my glasses and some lipstick. I love it and I think it goes lovely with the boots!

Lol, my hand looks so awkward in this photo!
I'll talk you through the rest of my outfit despite the items no longer being available. My jeans are the Shape and Fit range from New Look. They've got a frayed bottom hem and I seriously love them so much, they're super comfy! The wide armed jumper is from New Look too, I got it back in summer (thinking ahead like always) and have been loving it this winter! And the fedora is from River Island. I bought it a few years ago after I literally fell in love with it when I tried it on but I've not worn it since, I bought it back in 2016! I thought this outfit was perfect for it!

But yes, I feel like I am getting much more daring now with my fashion choices and I'm making a conscious effort to try things that I wouldn't normally and I'm finding out that I actually love them! I love adding a splash of colour through key items, whether it be a coat, top, trousers, shoes or bag. I have quite a few statement pieces now and I enjoy wearing them so much! Everyone should have a bit of colour in their life!

What do you think of statement shoes?

Until next time...

  3. Those boots are gorgeous! I love boots as well bus sadly I'm not a very adventurous person when it comes to colours so would probably not buy red boots although I would definitely go for the red bag! xx

  4. I love the bold color! I've never worn something bright in so many years because I've come accustomed to wearing neutral colors. Love it on you, tho! x
