Get Gorgeous Pearly Whites With Superdrug's Charcoal Toothpaste Plus SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

We all dream of having whiter teeth. When there's celebs out there like Selena Gomez who have gorgeous pearly whites, how can we not? Unless you're willing to pay a huge amount to have your teeth cleaned, or get one of those lights that you stick in your mouth, or even buy that disgusting remedy of charcoal powder; getting those lovey white teeth is a bit of an unrealistic dream.

Supposedly, charcoal is a natural teeth whitener. I always found that a tad weird, teeth whitening with a black substance, like what the hell? So I decided to give it a go. I wasn't prepared to put a load of charcoal into my mouth so the next best thing was to get a charcoal toothpaste. However, I chose Superdrug's own range because I have something exciting to tell you all.
You may have noticed on my socials, but I was contacted a little while ago by the Superdrug marketing team. They were telling me about how they loved my review of their latest Solait Bronzing range (you can read my post here) and about how they would like it if they could quote me for a display. Of course I was very excited, even more so when they said that my photo was going to be used. You can now find me in Superdrug promoting their bronzing range, I can't quite believe it! This display will be up until mid October so I'm sorry, but if you like Superdrug, you're stuck seeing my face for a month! My best friend, Scarlett, took this picture for me, she's so much more excited than I am!

But back onto the topic, I chose this toothpaste to celebrate. I bought these products a little over two months ago and have been using them for over a month now. I'm quite happy with my teeth, I never needed braces and they were always pretty white, although I always wanted them even whiter. Besides a small amount of plaque, I would say that my teeth don't bother me.

I was browsing through Superdrug when I came across their Charcoal Whitening Toothpaste I was eager to give it a try, especially for it's amazing price! For £2.99 this has got to be the cheapest charcoal whitening toothpaste on the market. Of course, I didn't know how messy this product was going to be, so naturally I bought the corresponding toothbrush for an extra £2.25 but you can find them currently for £1.50.

To be honest with you, the brush really isn't needed, but it looks adorable! I'm pretty sure it comes in pink, blue and black. What I love about this toothbrush is that it's small but the perfect size because you use the right amount of product - any more and you'd be chocking. The size of the brush means you spend a little extra time making sure you've cleaned every aspect of your teeth, which is good since you obviously want this toothpaste to do well. Not only are the bristles soft, this brush is so cute and I might have to buy another in a couple of months.

When it comes to the toothpaste, I was pleasantly surprised. Forget all of that disgusting charcoal rubbish, this tastes like coolmint so you don't even realise what is actually in the product. This is an easy substitute because you think you're using a normal toothpaste, it does all of the jobs plus whitening. After using this product, my mouth was left feeling fresher that it did with an average toothpaste.

Don't get me wrong, this toothpaste is the blackest of the black and it feels weird to be putting it into your mouth. Once it starts to foam, yes I did say foam - this ain't no charcoal powder, the product starts to turn into a lighter grey so you're not left with black residue on your teeth and gums. Annoyingly, I was too awkward to take a photo of my teeth before and after, but I'm sure you can tell from the photo at the top, that my teeth are pretty white.

After using this for a couple of weeks, you really start to notice a difference. I've been using this for a month, I can proudly say that I now have gleaming teeth that I'm not afraid of showing off. I hated nothing about this product, and here's one for you kind hearted readers - it's veggie and vegan friendly! What more could you ask for from Superdrug?

This is most definitely a product I will be turning to more frequently. I've experienced no sensitivity, no reduction in enamel, and I've actually noticed a difference in my dental health. I'm just starting to run out so I'm going to pop in store and grab some more at the weekend!

What tips do you have for teeth whitening?

Until next time...
