Hey! I'm Sophie, I'm 22 and live in Leicester.

You can usually find me at a gig in the photo pit or shopping for another new outfit which definitely won't fit in my wardrobe.

APRE Always In My Head

APRE are one of the most creative upcoming bands right now, you may not recognise their name but you will sure as hell recognise their music. Their most recent release, Without Your Love was just a small insight into their new mini-album, Always In My Head, due to be released on Friday 9 November.

Made up of Charlie and Jules, APRE address a multitude of topics within their music, exploring politics, the isolation that technology has bought, putting modern relationships under a microscope and more. Inspired by 80's icons such as The Police, the band have found their sound and are developing their music in such an exciting way.

The 8-track album is an easy listen, transporting us to those amazing summer evenings. The louder you crank APRE's music, the more you can hear. The productions complexity works in such a way that it's unnoticeable to those who don't actively seek for it.

My personal favourite tracks from Always In My Head include Is That Really What You Live For, Live It Up along with the track that the album is named after - Always In My Head.

Ready my live review and interview with APRE here

It has just occurred to me that APRE was one of my last gigs of 2020 before the lockdown. I must say that it was definitely one of the best live performances I've seen to date.
