I really like Victors and their sound. For fans of The 1975, Victors use synthesisers a lot and have this 80's vibe about them, but don't let this put you off. The band have an established sound that they've refined to meet modern day expectations without conforming to typical pop sound that you find on the radio.
Their unique style of pop-rock has grabbed the attention of BBC Radio 1, ITV's This Morning and has featured in playlists by Topshop and Spotify. They've also been played in NFL stadiums all over America as well as performing at The Jackson's VIP after-party. It's safe to say that Victors are a well-established band that are aiming high.
Made up of Harry (vocals, guitar, synth), Simon (guitar, synth), Leon (drums), and Dom (bass, synth), Victors create relatable lyrics for near enough everyone. The band have played alongside the likes of Kaiser Chiefs and King No-One and have hit it off with releasing singles, Slow Down and I Think About You Every Night.
The band have just released their newest single, Big City. The track, as singer Harry describes it, is about "regretting past decisions, staying up all night, sitting in parked cars talking stuff out.". The piano based song has some great vibes to it. It's a summertime evening drives with the windows down kind of track.
Big City is a beautiful ballad with a dreamy melody and silky vocals. I can't wait to get this song on repeat - who am I kidding? It already has been. I've been playing this song non-stop for two weeks. Now I can finally add it to my playlists and you get to hear it too.
Victors have really created a smashing single. I can't wait to hear what more they come up with.
