BUXOM Lash Mascara Review

I have been following BUXOM on Instagram since before they had any stands in any stores and so was super excited for when they came to Leicester. The other day I decided to pay a visit to their stall in our Debenhams, I only had £20 because I'm broke, sad times, so I had to get my friends to hold me back from buying any more.

Mascara is my ultimate weakness. My kryptonite almost. Of course, I couldn't not go home without a mascara and I was very close to buying Better Than Sex but then my eye caught the BUXOM stand. Placed there, in all of its glory was one of the most amazing looking mascaras I think I have ever laid eyes on. The shop assistant basically listed all the things that I look for in a mascara when I asked her about it.

I decided to give it a try after I had purchased it for £16. The next day I cracked it open and had to just stop and stare at the wand for a little while. Just by the looks of things, it seemed like it was going to give me lashes to die for! They were exceptionally long and not clumped all together. The product doesn't come out in massive clumps either on the wand which is always a bonus as you're not losing any product.

The wand itself is quite long and so you can apply it fairly evenly. Unlike the rest of my mascara, it only took one swipe and my lashes look unreal. They all looked perfectly separated and the curl and volume was amazing. I used to have to use two mascaras before to achieve half the look of this one.

I had heck of a day when I tried this mascara out. I had taken a walk into my local village and it had begun to rain. Me being the think ahead person I am, I bought waterproof mascara. However, the rain got heavier and heavier, to the point that my make up was literally running down my face, which it has never done before. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived home and saw that my lashes still looked as fabulous as they were when I first left the house. A couple of hours later, I had a massive crying session, at this point, my previous mascaras would have been completely ruined. But nope, not this BUXOM mascara. I actually had to scrub my eyes in the shower for it start running down my face. I say that this was definitely worth the £16 that I forked out.

And here's a picture of me messing around. I'm wearing the mascara here as you can see. It has amazing volume and makes my eyes look fabulous! Please excuse the pyjamas and funny face. I'd literally just finished my make up and was having a bit of a mess around. Who doesn't, eh?

Have you tried any of BUXOM's products yet? What's your go-to mascara?

Until next time...
