Intu Derby Autumn Fashion Event

The other day I was invited to the Intu Centre in Derby to watch their Autumn Pop Up Fashion Event. I had so much fun, and I'm pretty sure my bank account will be drained when I next go shopping.

We had our own little VIP section and it was great, we were offered a free muffin from Bakers and Baristas and also Patisserie Valerie provided the beverages. I've never been to BB's before but I'd definitely go again. It might have to become a regular thing if I found one in Leicester. These muffins are delish, they look amazing too! The flavours are so awesome that I  wanted to try every single one!

After the show, we headed over to Patisserie Valerie for some lunch, it's not the cheapest place in the world but I just love the food there! I'm starting to sound like I love food way too much, haha! I can't emphasis how lovely BB's and Patisserie Valerie are.

After we had settled down, the show began. We saw some fabulous outfits from Topshop, Miss Selfridge, Phase Eight, Infinities, Topman, River Island, Debenhams and more. I loved most of the outfits that were previewed...I actually could have stolen a few items off of the male models too - their clothes were just as good!

There were several sections to the show...

Heritage: Tweed fabrics, plaid prints and cable knits.

Animal Print: Bold animal prints
Velvet Dreams: Velvet dress, heels, coats...
Purple Reign: Purple is the most beautiful and flattering colour this season, from lavender to plum.
Midnight Sparkle: Sparkles everywhere! This is the party section of the show.

Each show had a choreographed dance to the most amazing and relevant songs. It was such a fun addition to the show, the centre was crowded with people watching the show and drooling over the Autumn Fashion trends - I was one of those people!

Two WoodWick candles were passed around. One had a little cottage at the bottom with air bubbles surrounding it to look like snow and this one apparently crackles like a fire when you burn it - perfect for a centrepiece. this one was definitely my favourite because look at it! I love the wood lid and it's so big I'm sure it would last you a good two years!

A small while later we all dispersed to go to level 1. Upstairs there was a green screen where you could be on a magazine! All us bloggers decided to do one together! The one on the right contains me, A Day With Jay, Carpe Diem Emmie, Shani Coles, Living On A Shoestring, xoxokiki, Sophie's Notebook and Penchants and Prejudice. A massive thanks to these girls for making me feel so welcome!

I decided to stay back with Shani whilst the other girls went off, so I could get my eyes done. I had a great chat with the make up artist who does the make up for the models for Miss Selfirdge. She was talking about the performers/models in the fashion show and how they were the backup dancers for the X Factor Live Shows. She did my eyes absolutely lovely and gave me a few tips as well on how to achieve a great smokey eye with pink shadows.

Just after we all sat down for the show, we were provided with some goodie bags which a majority of the shops had contributed towards. When we all had a look, we fell in love with everything! A massive thank you to Tiger, Boots, PaperchaseThe Perfume Shop, Intu Derby, Patisserie Valerie, BB's, Lush and The Body Shop.

Lush provided one of their catalogues which I will be having a read of when I find some time, BB's provided the free muffin before the show and Intu Derby gave us all free parking and a £5 voucher to spend in any store when we next visit.

We all found some delicious macaroons from Patisserie Valerie in our goodie bags. the colours of them are so cute, I didn't want to eat them because they looked so pretty, haha!

I was ecstatic to find a box of samples off of The Body Shop! I can't wait to crack them open and start using them! I even got a tiny bottle of Tea Tree Oil, I've got to find some ingenious use for that.

I absolutely love the tiny samples of perfumes you can get from The Perfume Shop. I got my good old cheeky male model again that made a feature on a blog post last year! I received 212 VIP Men, Jean Paul Glitter and Hugo Boss The Scent For Her. I must say that the Hugo Boss one is may favourite.

Boots provided a lot for us. I got a Dior lash primer which I am loving at the moment, L'Oreal's Volume Million Lashes So Couture So Black which has become one of my favourite mascaras, a L'Oreal White Eyeliner, red lipstick and red nail varnish. I also received 10% off of NYX in Derby, a small tube of BB's Staright and some Clarins Cleanser and Toner which smells fab!

I stupidly forgot to take pictures of these since I was already using them the minute I walked through the door. But Boots also provided a little No 7 pack with a tube of Dry Skin Rescue which is really helping my skin at the moment, a lovely little eyeshadow which is amazing if you need a bit of warmth in your make up, Lovely Lashes and nail Strength and growth Treatment.

Tiger were adorable, they provided a whole bag of goodies for each one of us! I got this massive rubber, which mys sister has already stolen, a light bulb pencil sharpener, a pack of graphite pencils and a photo frame.

I also got from Tiger a mason drinking glass and a card to match it, these really weird but cool 3D reality goggles, a cute cake slicer and the funniest fabric tote bag.

Finally, Paperchase gave us a diary each. the one I got was so cute! It's two days per page which is brilliant as I don't do enough for a day per page diary... I can't wait to start writing in it for next year!

A massive thank you to Intu Derby, they bloggers who went and also the shops that provided the goodies!

Until next time...

Sophie xx
