For today, I want to share with you some of my favourite bands and artists that are doing really well at the moment or are new on the music scene. You may of heard of some, you may not have. Either way, all of these people are creating some real good music right now and you should 100% check them out - even if that's just giving a little listen to while you're reading this. I'll be providing some links for you to play - look at me making your life easier!
Let's get into it!
Violet Days
Violet Days is made up of singer/songwriter Lina Hansson and producer Kris Erikson. The pair are the ultimate duo and can work some magic in the studio. You may not have heard of Violet Days but you certainly have heard The Chainsmoker's hit single, Paris which they have songwriting and producing credits for.
Violet Day's has a new EP out called Lovers & Losers with includes a bunch of electro-pop ballads, perfect pop songs as well as bassy anthems. Including singles INK and All I Know, Violet Days have an aesthetic that I can't get enough of!
Ivory Wave
This Birmingham band have been drumming up quite the attention, Clash Magazine praising them, West Brom playing them on match days and JAWS inviting them to tour with them later this month. Their songs speak of youth experiences across the country which appeals to said audience. Their indie sound is full of energy and I'm loving their new EP, Dream Nights.
New Rules
I've been keeping tabs on New Rules since they formed earlier this year. A former member of The Shades, who I met at the TexFest last year, Nathan is one of the three members of New Rules, Ryan and Alec.
Currently, on tour with Little Mix and soon to head off on a UK tour in February, the band is hitting it off with young girls everywhere! I'd say that they are big competitors with New Hope Club and could be climbing the charts pretty quickly if they keep up the good work. Their music is upbeat and gives off positive vibes, I'm loving seeing them develop as a band! They are doing so well for themselves and have so much more to give.
Maisie Peters
Maisie Peters has been slaying in 2019. She's released plenty of new music including an EP titled 'It's Your Bed Babe, It's Your Funeral'. Her songs tell a story, each one really showcases her unique voice. Each song is so simply beautiful, I just adore her music! At the age of 19, she has a great musical career ahead of her.
Who are you loving at the moment?
Until next time...
