The New Bondi Sands Liquid Gold Self Tanning Foam | AD

I'm literally a ghost, I never tan and my skin lacks warmth 365 days of the year. The only time I remember tanning naturally was last year in the huge heatwave that we had. Even then I was out in the sun with no suncream on to get that (I do not recommend). In the summer months, fake tan in my new best friend. I'm a recent convert after the Superdrug Solait Self Tanning Range.

The first time that I self tanned, I discovered that the acne and scarring was all toned down, massively. So from there on forward, I tanned a little bit more frequently. When Bondi Sands got in touch with me regarding their launch of the Liquid Gold Self Tanning Foam in the UK, I was ecstatic that I was given the opportunity to work with them. I've never actually tried Bondi Sands but it's one of the most renowned brands for a great self tan.

It's March now, but I tanned last week so that was February and yes, I look like I've just come back off holiday from Spain in the summer months. I don't think I've ever had this dark skin and it looks so natural (apart from the bits I missed on my wrists and feet!).

I'm no self tanning pro so I was reluctant to give this a go and my friend described Bondi Sands in six words: "they're known to be dark tans". Personally, I've not go the best complexion for a dark tan but I definitely have managed to pull this one off.

I was kindly gifted the new Liquid Gold Self Tanning Foam and their Application Mitt which is a soft velvety material. I exfoliated before hand and shaved my legs (got to get that even tan) and waited until I was fully dry before applying any tan (this is recommended in the instructions on the back). I was aiming for a streak free tan and that's what I got.

Unfortunately, every time I tried to get a photo of my tan, I'd still look pale af so you're going to have to take my word for it. When I first applied the self tan, I saw a subtle difference (you might be able to see from the image below). As the hours passed by, this gradually got darker and darker until I looked like I'd just come back off a foreign holiday in mid summer.

Please excuse my disgusting legs, I hate them lol x
Applying the self tan was a breeze, it was quick and easy. I avoided areas like my ankles, feet, elbows, neck and face until the very end yet somehow as the tan fades, I'm seeing all the areas I missed. In the peak of the tan, I couldn't see any streaks or patches that stuck out and I was tempted to leave the house in a cute little white dress just to show it off!

All in all, this is by far one of the most amazing self tan products that I've used. I'll definitely be buying this before my summer holiday so I'm looking perfect for the beach!

Also, go and check out my Instagram where I've posted a little promo video I made for this post!
