Marsicans 'Suburbs' Music Video Is Filmed With What!? **

Marsicans are a band that will always hold a place in my heart. They're great lads and always have fun with what they do and it really come across in their social feeds (all hail Cale's Woeful Joke Wednesday's) and in their music too.

The band recently released a new single, Suburbs which is a great track in itself that's gained attention from the likes of Spotify, Apple Music and Radio 1. The music video was released on the 26th September.

A recipe for disaster, the band filmed the music video themselves on a phone. Surprisingly, the music video is actually very very good. Shot in the USA and Canada, James (guitarist) says that they "wanted to try and recreate the disconnection between yourself and your surroundings". The song refers to this and the video is a great support to the track.

You can watch the music video below.

What are your thoughts on the music video? I wouldn't be able to tell it's been filmed on a phone! Funnily enough, I've been having a very similar ongoing conversation with my graphics tutor about using a phone for high quality filming so I know who I'll be showing this video to!

Marsicans will be touring with Fickle Friends this month so try and catch them live! You can find tour dates here.

Until next time...
