On arrival I had a look around the store and waited for everyone to arrive since I was a little early. I got to have a look at some of their new products and get swatching in their makeup section. Everyone started to then filter in and we got stuck in.
We were split into to groups for the first half of the evening to have a look at the makeup and skincare. My group started with the makeup first so were were shown some of their gorgeous new products!
The Body Shop have a new range of face mists out in 5 lovely scents; strawberry soothing, mandarin energising, rose dewy glow, coco calming and mint mattifying. As you can tell, they all have their own features to them which makes them even better. They all smell absolutely beautiful and I jumped at the chance to give them a go.
We were then shown some of their matte lip products and their new festival inspired eyeshadow shades - which I fell in love with. There are some lovely bright colours and their yellow shade didn't come off for ages, even after I had a shower.
We were also shown their Honey Bronze Shimmering Dry Oil which is a Fenty dupe. It smells amazing and looks just as good. It takes off the white sheen I have on my legs and shimmers too making you look beach ready!
After our little makeup demo, we were lead to the skincare talk. What I loved was these little paper skin tests hey have to see how oily or dry your skin is. You place it on your cheek and forehead. it picks up all of the oil in this area. Based on how many dark speckles you have depends on the oiliness of your skin - it's great!
We chatted a bit about their Drops of Youth range which I love - I use their day cream for my acne scarring. We were also talking about their Vitamin E range and their skin peels too which are all lovely, lightweight and leave your skin looking fresh.
Once we had talked about all of these, we all came together to chat about The Body Shop's new Body Yogurts which are the latest hype. I understand why now. I have fallen in love with them and for only £8.50 they're a bargain!
They are 100% vegan and moisturise your skin for up to 48 hours - the scent lasts forever. I bought both their rose and strawberry yogurts and whenever I use it, the smell goes throughout the house for the next 24 hours. They're lightweight and I love putting them in the fridge so when I use them they're super cold.
We all came out with a goody bag too (which I've not taken photos of unfortunately) full of body washes, exfoliators, blushes, lip butters, hand cream and one of their bandanas to show our support for their fight against animal testing. Speaking of, have you signed their petition yet?
I met some lovely bloggers, Abbey, Ellis, Renu, Nazraa and Bejal who were so welcoming. I can't wait to meet them all again in the future!
Until next time...
