The Best Drugstore Palettes for Autumn

If you're anything like me, this Autumn you're dying for that Morphe Jaclyn Hill palette but that's pretty much impossible because I never have that much money in my bank account. So I've been through some of my own palettes trying to find some that are perfect for Autumn. I only had a few so I popped down to my local Superdrug and picked up a couple more. I think I'm sorted now for Autumn. You're going to love these palettes!!
I'm a sucker for eyeshadow, I usually stick to my pinks however I've been making some exceptions lately. I'm no Morphe girl and I only own one Naked palette (which I love by the way). My make up is all drugstore, I just spend too much on clothes to be able to afford the luxury of high end make up. Although, you can pick up some items from the cheaper brands which can be just as good!

Everyone is in total hype about Barry M's latest release, Fall in Love. I understand the excitement, it's a beautiful palette, but I've found something better. They have another gorgeous palette, Crown Jewels, which has been pushed aside. I couldn't resist this palette when I saw it, for me it comes first out of the two!

You can see in the picture, that the packaging is so cute! It truly looks fit for a princess. I love the simplicity of the inside, however there doesn't look like there's much of the product. I'm not too sure, we'll see how that goes.

I've never tried Barry M's eyeshadow but I am going to more often! Look at how pigmented these swatches are. These colours are so dazzling that I can't wait to start using them often. As stunning as the blue is, I don't think I'm that confident to wear it on a day-to-day basis. Maybe that's for a night out. The colours are perfect to create that perfect Autumn look and look quite similar to some of the shades from the Morphe Jaclyn Hill palette too.

This is a Limited Edition palette so you better get your hands on it fast! I purchased this from Superdrug for £6.49. For this price I am really happy with the palette. It's a bargain, I love how affordable Barry M is.

I can't get enough of this palette, isn't it just dreamy? This is Maybelline's latest eyeshadow palette and it's called The Burgundy Bar. I'm amazed by the shades. The packaging is so cute, it's a matte burgundy with rose gold writing and is to die for! The packaging showcases the amazing shades inside which deserve to be on display. The only thing I can fault is that Maybelline's palette packaging always feels a bit cheap and nasty.

What I love is that you get a little brush and blender with this palette. It's not quite like the one you get in the Naked palettes but it passed the bristle test and is so soft! I don't often use the blender smudge things (I don't know what they're called, lol) but this is one of the softest ones that I've had. A bit of a bigger brush would have been appreciated though, it's tiny!

These colours are just amazing. The reds are so pigmented and the others are so cute, I'm loving the rose golds and the couple of mattes in there. These would look so cute with a few of the shades from Crown Jewels. When I was swatching these, they felt so velvety. I had trouble cleaning them off too, they left quite a stain on my arm. These shades are perfect to create some Autumn looks, there's so much potential.

I purchased this from Superdrug for £11.99 which I think is a little over priced for what you get. I would have preferred it to be £9.99 but we don't all get what we want. I do love this palette though and I think I'll be using it more often.

This one I got a while ago, my sister bought it for me for Christmas last year. I actually blogged about it at the time, you can read that post here. I love this palette from NYX all year round but it's perfect for Autumn, it's my first time using it in the Autumn and I've been loving it. If you don't have this Warm Neutrals palette, you're really missing out. It has some lovely shades in it.

I love the packaging for this. I can see every colour and so it makes my morning routine so much easier. It looks so sleek and the quality is pretty good, it's a bit scratched up but it's lasted me forever!

These shades don't look as pigmented here but believe me, they are - it's just my pale skin tone. The neutral shades are some of my favourite in this palette, you can create a cute nude eye with these. As the shades get into the darker browns, they get easier to work with and match other shades with. I love matching the golds with the more reddy/orangey colours.

16 colours is quite a good lot of shades for a palette this size, and they've latest me nearly a year. This palette is part of the Ultimate palette range from NYX and it seems like Warm Neutrals is in demand as Boots is currently out of stock. This is by far my favourite palette for Autumn, every girl needs this one in their make up bag.

My sister picked this up for £16 at Boots. I think that's a pretty decent price considering all of the amazing factors it has.

MUA are fab, they never fail to disappoint me. They're one of the best drugstore brands I know, all of their products are super affordable and such good quality. I jumped at the chance to buy this palette, Undress Me Too, for only £4. I love the name of it for starters! I'm not one for browns but I am warming to them and I think this palette is going to make me love them more.

The packaging is so simple, I think it makes the shades stand out even more. There isn't one shade I don't like the look of. My smokey eye is going to be on point by the end of October now I have this black shade.

I'm very happy with the pigmentation of this palette, for £4 from Superdrug, I couldn't ask for anything more. I'm getting so excited! The gold shade is just perfect. I love the baked shades, I'm not one for baked colours but I'm starting to be a bit more adventurous lately. Undress Me Too is definitely a palette you need this Autumn!

Overall, all of these palettes are gorgeous and I think when put together they beat the Morphe Jaclyn Hill palette.

What's your go-to Autumn eyeshadow palette?

Until next time...

  4. Wow! Your flatlays are honestly perfection👌🏿👌🏿
The Maybelline palette looks absolutely gorgeous but because i am *trying* to go cruelty free I don’t think that I could make the purchase. I am totally eying up the Barry M palette though, I think the colours would be pretty on my skin tone.
I’d love to see a makeup tutorial using one of the palettes!
