Do You Dare To Mask?

Recently, The Body Shop have released their latest products...face masks! These are part of their spa range and are absolutely lovely. I was invited over to my local branch to try them all out, of course I needed a trusty companion and who else to take but my sister? This was my sisters first invite to something like this and she loved every minute of it, we even had to buy a few things but we'll get into those details later!

This display is very hard to miss when you walk in (This picture is so small, it doesn't do it justice!) but the store, I couldn't wait to get my hands on the products - literally! There are 5 masks that have been introduced into The Body Shop and boy, do they smell good. Each mask is available to purchase for £15 each, I do know that there should be an offer soon where you can but two for £20. Believe me When I say that you'll definitely be wanting more than two! Oh! I forgot to mention that each one of these masks is 100% vegan/vegetarian. Only the best is made for The Body Shop customers.

You can chose from several scents:

  • Chinese Ginseng & Rice Clarifying and Polishing Mask (green) - This is meant to exfoliate your skin so make sure to have a clean face when applying it! It actually has small grains of rice in so when you exfoliate in circular motions after the 10-15 minutes, it will 'Clarify and Polish' your skin. It illuminates your skin smells divine considering it's rice.

  • Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask (blue) - Now this one leaves your skin feeling fresh and smooth. It is one of the vegan masks and is infused with bamboo charcoal, green tea and tea tree - so it's great of you want to fight spots at the same time. It refines the appearance of your pores leaving your skin glowing, it's good as well as it absorbs any natural oils. You'll know when it's time to exfoliate and take it off because it will start going hard and cracking.

  • The British Rose Fresh Plumping Mask (pink) - I haven't tried this one yet but I have heard great things. This mask is a gel type one and its purpose it to re-plump and moisterise the skin to leave it looking beautifully healthy and glowing. It's infused with rose petals, rosehip oil from Chile, rose essence from Britain and Community Trade aloe vera from Mexico. The Rose mask is meant to smooth and tone the skin, you don't need to exfoliate with this one.

  • Ethiopian Honey Deep Nourishing Mask (yellow) - This mask smells so much like honey, looks it too. Obviously this was expected, haha! Ethiopian Honey is the mask you want if your skin needs some deep moisturising treatment to restore, smooth and soften. There is Community Trade honey from Ethopia, Community Trade marula oil from Namibia and organic Community Trade olive oil from Italy.

  • Amazonian Acai Energising Radiance Mask (red) - This is a must use mask to fit into your morning routine. This Acai Berry face mask it meant to get rid of that fatigue and stressed look to be replaced with lovely recharged and energised skin. This is one of my favourite masks out of all of them - it looks like jam! Haha, it smells amazing.

Me and my sister had a lot of fun trying out the latest masks, in the picture above you can see my hands, duh. Anyway, on my left had I have the Chinese Ginseng and Rice mask and on the right is the Ethiopian Honey. The great thing is, you don't need to apply too much to get the best effect!

My lovely sister here ha taken up hand modelling. She tried out the Himalayan Charcoal mask, this was her favourite of them all. You can see the flakes in this one, so when you're washing it off, it will exfoliate your skin.

Again, my gorgeous hand model showed off her lovely samples she had. On the left is the Acai Berry - see, it does look like jam! You can see on her right hand that the Charcoal mask is starting to harden, this is when you know that the mask is setting, if you leave it for a while longer, it'll be time to wash it off!

Onto our buys!

How could we resist these? Even the packaging is cute! There are little drawings on the top of each box and they are lit the most adorable thing that I have seen on packaging for a while. I think the whole range, that's both the content and the packaging, look so classy it's unreal.

I was also very kindly given samples of all the masks from this range. I can't wait to try all of these out, I know I'm going to love every single one of them.

Finally, with any purchase of one of these 5 masks, you receive a free colouring book. Look how cute this looks! I can't wait to start colouring in it, the pages are such good quality...I better not colour out of the lines!

A big thank you to Tash at The Body Shop for inviting me! On that note, I'm going to leave you with a picture of me with my Acai Berry mask on!

Until next time...

Sophie xx
