May The Fourth Be With You - My Top 10 Films

May the 4th be with you! My fellow readers, if you haven't noticed already, today is Star Wars Day...So in celebration of this day, I have found a spare 5 minutes in my busy schedule of revision to write this post. It is such a basic post and I'm sorry but at least it's something, eh? Anywhooo, I'm just going to list my top 10 favourite films because why not?

#10 - The Purge

This film is so cool and really gets you thinking about how you would do things differently if this situation was ever going to happen. It is based in America and the government have decided to keep peace that there should be 12 hours in each year, where anything is legal. All the public services are shut for the annual Purge. There is a second film too and a third to come out soon but I love the first one.

#9 - World War Z

I love zombie stuff - The Walking Dead, any zombie film, etc. World War Z features Brad Pitt and takes zombie apocalypse to a whole new level. It makes you fear what is to come if there is ever a zombie apocalypse.

#8- Love Actually

You cannot find a better Christmas film than this - and yes, it even beats Elf. What I love about this film is that it doesn't even have to be Christmas to watch it. All the cast are amazing and very well known (people like Hugh Grant, Emma Thompson and Alan Rickman) and just make the film so much better then it should be.

#7 - Cloverfield

This was the first film that I watched that I was in somebody's own perspective. What makes this film so great is that you are watching it through a video camera so you can only see what the people in the film see. It is so amazingly edited and you're on your seat for the whole of the film. If you haven't seen this movie - this is a total recommendation.

#6 - Harry potter and the Deathly Hallows (Part 1 &2 - I can never decide)

I've grown up around Harry Potter and it has influenced me a lot - I can relate to characters and I feel like they're my friends because they've grown up with me too. The last two films are the most action packed and that's why I like them. there are so many stories that have been completed in the final two films. It all comes together at the end - something that happened in the first few films has now been justified or solved and it's so satisfying.

#5 - Titanic

How can you not like this film? It's a three hour emotional roller coaster - what makes it such a good film is how it is taken from a real life event and that hits you right at the end. I can't even put into words how much I like this film...

#4 - Friends With Benefits

Who doesn't love a bit of Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis? This is such a lighthearted film that shows how a friendship between a female and male develops into something more through a mutual agreement. Its funny, cute, romantic and just plain awesome!

#3 - Sense and Sensibility

I am in love with Jane Austin. She is such a brilliant writer and conveys most women's dreams. The recent films that have been made are a great way of getting to know more about her stories without actually reading them (I prefer to do both). I have watched this film over and over again and I love how much it shows that us women haven't really changed our ways!

#2 - Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

As I mentioned before, Harry Potter will forever be in my heart for several reasons. But, I feel like this is the one film in the series of them that really brings out everyone of the characters true self. Tensions get high and I love watching it over again and picking things out that I hadn't even noticed before. Like how Draco Malfoy is always in the shadows and how you can infer how he is actually feeling. I love his story the most and it fascinate me, which is probably why I like this particular film so much.

#1 - Pride and Prejudiced

I am currently reading 'Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austin' - I received it as a gift a while back and during that period I didn't have enough time to read it, so I resorted to the film featuring Keira Knightly. I have watched this film many times and love the whole concept of it with Mr Darcy and Mr Wickham. If you never read the book or watched the film, I defiantly recommend to do so as soon as possible. I just love it so much and that is why it is number one on my Top 10 Films.

I hope you liked that short little post and have some new films that you need to be watching. Tell me your favourite film if you have one, just leave a comment! I have my first MOC exam tomorrow, Science. I've been revising for days and it starts at 8;40, my brain isn't even awake by that time! Anyways, wish me luck!

Until next time...
