Halloween Mocktails...Basically Mocktails With A Scary Name.

Hi guys! So I didn't put a post up on Saturday because of reasons but I did start planning this post. Most of the day Saturday and Sunday I was chopping, pouring, fizzing whatever I could get my hands on, to make Halloween Mocktails. So I am going to show you what I managed to create. I will put the method but please bear in mind I only made one of each, so if you are going to use a recipe on here and do want to do it in bulk, I suggest you get your calculators out! I hope this will prepare you for any parties, get togethers, or nights in on Halloween!

Bug Juice

Blackcurrant Juice (cordial)

~ Pour a drop of blackcurrant juice into a glass - as if you were going to make a normal drink.

Fill the glass up to halfway with Coke.

~ Fill the glass up to the top with lemonade and stir to combine.

Ghost Shake

This picture is so out of focus, sorry!

Vanilla Ice Cream
Whipped Cream (optional)

Melt some chocolate and paint a ghosts face design inside, like I have.
~ Put the cup into the freezer for 5-10 minutes to let the chocolate set.
~ Blend the vanilla ice cream and milk together to make a simple vanilla milkshake.
~ Once the 5-10 minutes are over, take the cup out of the freezer and pour the milkshake right to the top of the cup.
~ If you want, you can squirt some squirty cream (the cream that's in the can with the nozzle) on the top.

Vampire Bite

Wow! I had a bad day with the camera!

Cranberry Juice
A Lime

~ Puree two big strawberries until smooth - you can always strain it (add a few extra if they are small strawberries).
~ Pour lemonade into the glass so it fills up about 3/4 - so leave a bit of space at the top of the glass.
~ Next add the cranberry juice, still leaving a small amount of room for the pureed strawberries.
~ Add the pureed strawberries into the mixture.
~ Now squeeze the juice from half a lime into the drink and stir to combine it all.

Blood Orange

Just to let you know, this is quite a strong and punchy flavour!

Cranberry Juice
An Orange (large)
A Lemon

~ Fill 1/3 of a glass with cranberry juice.
~ Squeeze the juice from half a lemon into the cranberry juice.
~ Add the juice from one orange into the drink.
~ Finally, fill the rest of the glass to the top with lemonade and mix to combine the ingredients.

Frankenstein's Refresher

Another note! This one takes patience. I found that one out very quickly!

2 Kiwis

~ Peel and chop the kiwis, try not to get any seeds in it, only the green part! Then puree them both until as smooth as possible.
~ Put the pureed kiwis into a glass.
~ Add lemonade to the pureed kiwis, so it's about to reach the top of the glass.
~ Pour the drink through a sieve and into a cup big enough to hold all of the liquid.
~ Now pour the smooth drink back into the glass for a pip free, lump free drink!

Zombie's Feast

Ginger Beer
Cranberry Juice

~ Puree 3 strawberries until smooth and sieve to get only the liquid from this.
~ Pour the strawberry liquid into a glass.
~ Fill up to 1/3 of the glass with ginger beer.
~ Fill the glass to the top with cranberry juice.

Unfinished Potion

A Lime
Smooth Orange Juice (carton)
Cranberry Juice

~ Squeeze half a lime's juice into a glass.
~ Pour orange juice into the glass until it reaches half way.
~ Fill the rest of the glass up with cranberry juice and mix to combine the ingredients.

This can go wrong if you don't quite know what to do so if you need help just ask!

Brown Sugar
Condensed Milk
Cream Soda
Whipped Cream (optional)

Over a heat, put 1 large tbsp of brown sugar into a pan with 1 large tbsp of butter.
~ Stir so it doesn't burn.
Once mixture is smooth, turn the heat down a little and add some condensed milk gradually whilst still stirring.
Eventually it will go a golden colour, have a small taste and it should taste like butterscotch.
Take it off heat.
Fill a cup just over half way with cream soda.
Add some of the butterscotch mixture into the cream soda whilst mixing the drink quickly.
Take small sips occasionally until you find the right taste for you. ~You can always add more cream soda or butterscotch mixture, but you CANNOT take it out!
Add a little whipped cream on the top (optional - you might already have a natural froth anyway).

Okay! That is all the mocktails I have for you. If you haven't realised there is no alcohol in those because one, I am underage and two, they are made for everyone to enjoy!
