How To Survive School

Hi guys! So today it was my first day back at school and let's just say, I had mixed feelings throughout the day. I have been thinking about this post for a while and trying to find ways to make it more exciting and interesting to you, because I don't think you want to hear about my whole day...But, I managed to get a detention for a short skirt (which was only like, 2 inches above my knee) an my mum ended up calling in - so we're all sorted now!

I know that when you go back on your first few days it's usually HELL, I have lived through that! But there are some things that you might be forgetting, even if you have it already just see what else there is in this post. So this is 'How To Survive School'.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  • To start things off I'm keeping it that easy that you probably have already thought about it. Gum. if you don't like it, you will. I hated it before and now that I am used to it, it's my life saver! Gum is an essential when it comes to everyday life, you can have it after you have eaten, to make your breath smell better or get food out of your teeth, you an offer it to someone to break the ice with those new people that you have never spoken to and you can use it to study and help pass a test (if you haven't seen that theory type it in Google). Like I said, Gum is an essential.
  • The next thing I have been so thankful for at times and that is bobby pins and hair bobbles. As a girl (sorry if your a guy reader) you should carry these with you 24/7. When it comes to school you should carry about two bobbles and two pins, these can come in handy in any situation - in fact, you should carry two of everything, pencils, gum packets, pens, etc. the worst thing is when you unexpectedly have P.E and you have a detention because you're not able to tie your hair up, or your walking outside and your fringe gets in the way. These things are useful with other things as well as hair. If you saw one of my earlier posts, I was in an exam and I had no compass, so I used two pencils and a bobble to create one (the picture on the side). Hair pins can come in handy if you need to pick a lock or get yourself out of a locked cubicle, you can use it like a screwdriver. There are so many possibilities for hair bobble and bobby pins, you just have to be a little creative at times.
  • Again, for the girls, you should carry clear nail varnish around with you. If your tights ladder, apply some of it to the front and back of your tights. If you have a lose thread that you don't want to pull, use the nail varnish to stick it down. clear nail varnish always entertains you when your bored in class too, you can paint your nails!
  • I don't know if you own an iPhone or if this available on the phone that you own, but if you go into settings, there is a switch called 'do not disturb'. It is great! To save you turning your phone off in class, just click this button and any incoming calls, texts and notifications are silenced, no vibrating either. This has saved me from constantly turning my phone on and off throughout the day, I also put it on at night when I want to get to sleep.
  • LEARN YOUR PARENTS SIGNATURE!! If you haven't done so already, do it. If you can learn your parents signature, you can get away with a lot. I'm not saying use it to get out of going to school but use it to get out of P.E, get an extension on your homework, have an excuse for a certain part of your uniform. This is a simple thing that you have to know to help you get through school.
  • If you don't ask, you don't get. If you have homework due for the next day or the Monday when you get back, don't fret. Just tell a little white lie! If you hand your homework in most of the time and you behave in class, after class you can go and speak to the teacher. Tell him/her that you are extremely busy, you have a wedding, you're going away for the night, etc, just make it believable. Guaranteed you will get at least a one day extension.
  •  You know when you see those really small travel items in the shop? Grab a few of them, the deodorants, body sprays, shampoo, conditioner, anything else that you might need, always come in handy at school. This way, you will have a supply of things in case of an emergency. Speaking of an emergency, you should carry a small pencil case of things in case of a serious beauty/fashion situation. Fill it with a pair of tights, deodorant, body spray, a compact mirror and hairbrush, some hair bobbles and hair pins and some hairspray. it never hurt to come prepared!
  • This final one might sound like a drag but when you get asked to read the rules, read them! Read them even if you don't get asked, it is the best thing that you will do in your entire school life (except pass the exams). Keep a keen eye out on the uniform restrictions because I guarantee you that you could find a piece of clothing that supposedly 'isn't' allowed but you can bend the rules. I will give you an example, I set a previous trend at my school, our school is very strict on skirts - no fashion skirts. I mentally had a list of all the restrictions on skirts as I went into New Look. Eventually I had found a midi pencil/jersey type skirt, that hugged my figure perfectly, of course this is a fashion skirt but it isn't breaking any of the other regulations. Also, since it was classed as a pencil skirt, I got away with it and now everyone else has too! So you can actually benefit from reading the rules!
I am really sorry if that bored you to death but it's a post! I do have a couple that I need to write out, hopefully they will be dome soon. Unfortunately though, first day back and I have homework to do, typical. So the posts will have to wait for a little while.
